Ear:
Earache – severity ranges from a feeling of fullness or blockage to deep, boring
pain.
Hearing loss – can be conductive or sensorineural.
Otorrhea – drainage from the ear.
Nose:
Epistaxis – nosebleed.
Nasal flaring – may be a sign of respiratory distress.
Nasal stuffiness and discharge – obstruction of nasal mucous membranes along
with discharge of thin mucus.
Pain or tenderness – may indicate a sign of sinusitis.
Throat and neck:
Dysphagia – difficult swallowing.
Throat pain – discomfort in any part of the pharynx; may range from scratchy
sensation to severe pain.
Swollen lymph nodes – may indicate infection.
