Breast nodule – breast lump that may be benign or malignant. Breast dimpling – puckering or retraction of skin on the breast. Peau d’orange – orange peel skin or edematous thickening and pitting of breast skin. Nipple retraction – inward displacement of the nipple below the level of surrounding breast tissue. Nipple inversion – lack of protrusion of the nipple. Nipple discharge – may be normal or can signal serious disease. Breast pain – may occur during rest or movement; may be aggravated by manipulation or palpation. Visible veins – may indicate cancer but also occur normally in pregnant women.
